Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are increasingly efficient, passing our tests for cleaning and taking on various floor types. Look for models that allow you to select from a variety of modes, and use their charging docks to automatically empty and clean stairs.
Many of the top models work with smartphones. Look for an app that lets you save maps, schedules and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate and creates maps of rooms and floors.
The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which includes flooring in the kitchen, dining area and bathrooms and a large rugs and a medium-pile. It was capable of driving up to walls and even cross raised thresholds without issue. However, it had some difficulty traversing the stairs in one step. the full details did a fantastic job cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on the flat side against the floor and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or carpet.
The S1's docking station automatically emptys its trash bin and replenishes its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water before each mopping session. The dock adds a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1's water tank holds enough water for about twelve cleaning sessions before needing to be cleaned, although this will vary depending on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure it is operating well. To do this, you'll need to rinse out the dirty water tank occasionally to keep it from becoming clogged. It is also necessary to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to avoid them becoming clogged up with dirt or dust. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs' all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop is a powerful solution for cleaning. Its robot vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with a number of innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans furniture. The mopping feature is impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor, as opposed to just drag the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station when needed.
This robot combo is easy to install and use, with a clear interface that guides you through the process. It also comes with a hand-vacuum that can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot cannot reach. There are also two water tanks that are automatically emptied or filled. It also comes with a variety of settings that can be used to fine tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a good vacuum cleaner. It has a strong suction that can effortlessly remove dust and debris that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also pretty good, although it can be stuck on small mats and rugs in my home (which you can mitigate by defining virtual boundaries in the app). Mopping capabilities are quite good and include a pair of mop heads that are able to lift and scrub floors instead of simply drag the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station when needed. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station as required.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It is a great cleaner and is easy to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our list of the top mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush ensure a thorough, customised clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It works equally well on carpets and hard floors. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests well, avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping power is enhanced by an additional side brush that automatically moves out to tackle difficult-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that is placed along baseboards.
Its navigation system is nimble that can navigate tiny spaces and negotiating stairs without stepping back. It can move from one area to another without having to reverse direction, which is a handy feature for larger homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than some competitors, however, and tends to leave a thick distance around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
Its app has a streamlined, intuitive interface that should be easy to use for both new and experienced users. The app allows you to plan and manage cleanings, alter suction power and mopping settings and view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri which allows you to monitor its progress from any location. You can even remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You'll need a stable Wi-Fi connection to operate it via the app as well as external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
A robot vacuum can do a fantastic job of picking up dirt and debris but it's not always able to get every last piece of dust. This is why it's crucial to make use of your regular vacuum once every week, particularly to remove dust from corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums and mop, is made to do just that. It's easy to connect to your home WiFI network and works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is an unadorned version of the company's expensive S-series models, which include the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's less expensive because it doesn't have mopping capabilities, and also has plastic body.
Despite losing the ability to clean your floors, the Q5 has some of the best mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robotic in this price range. It's got a powerful suction power of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system, which means you don't need to empty the bin manually every time. It also has a clever application that lets you choose the type of floor and schedule cleanings, as well as an automatic water tank refill and wash system for hands-free operation.
Its mops are also impressive, with a 2700Pa power that can take on pet hair and dirt on carpets as well as hard floors. The Q5 was one of the few robots that we tested that did not have a problem with high-pile area carpets and rugs. However, it did not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising because it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robot vacuums we have tested, it also uses a unique system to map your home. This will allow it to enter places that other vacuums cannot reach. It also collects dust in a bigger dustbin which means you need to empty it less often. It also has washable filters, which can further cut costs. This robot can detect carpets and increase suction if necessary. You can also mark off areas you want to keep out of the app.
